The VTCHL has acquired a Linux-based cluster for use in its numerical simulations. The cluster consists of 5 rack-mount computers, each of which have 2 Intel Xeon 5345 2.33 Ghz processors. Each processor has 4 cores, which results in a total of 40 compute cores. The total available RAM is 40 GB. Jobs are submitted to a batch queuing system and are run automatically.
